Science Projects with Emma “Einstein”
Join Emma “Einstein” Shapiro (a Chemistry teacher in the Philadelphia Public Schools) as she makes fun and challenging science projects with candy and food items.
These projects are not only a great way to learn about the world around us, but they can also be a lot of fun to make. And what’s more, they can be made with everyday food items.
The Candy Lab is a great way to get creative and have fun with your food. And, best of all, you can eat your creations!
You’ll make projects like:
- Rock Candy
- Candy Slime
- Pop Rocks
- Volcano Candy
- Spurting Science: Erupting Diet Coke with Mentos
- Exploding Mentos Drink
- Exploring the Diet Coke and Mentos Experiment
- Color Changing Coke and Mentos
Each Chemistry session is 1 ½ hours in length and offers age-appropriate projects. Our next Science Lab class will be October 7, from 1-3:30pm. Click here for more info or to register.
